THE WORK

“My grandfather once told me that there were two kinds of people: those who do the work and those who take the credit. He told me to try to be in the first group; there was much less competition.” – Indira Gandhi

I consider myself rather fortunate when it comes to my professional career. Having started at an early age (counting in the first summer and holiday odd jobs at friends’ parents factory and the early mornings in my teens at the rink instructing little ice princesses (and one prince)), I have gained a very versatile set of skills. I have also learnt what I am good or at least OK at, what I may need developing with, what I really really like, and what I simply need to leave for others to do (what a relieving feeling it is when you realize you don’t have to master it all, isn’t it?).

My career path has weaved its way through a media company to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, followed by tech industry to digital advertising, and then finding my decade-long “safe haven” inside the international sports family. Who knows, I could still be enjoying the thrills of sports had it not been fo New York that seduced me so strongly, that a move to the Big Apple was inevitable. The city that never sleeps kept me going with working for myself, collaborating on projects from government visits to music video shoots and everything in between. An unexpected interruption (l’amour, l’amour..) took me all the way to Djibouti, the horn of Africa, and gave me the opportunity to get involved in the UN and other NGO’s as well as volunteering – a very eye opening experience that I will carry with me no matter what I next get busy with.

  • Here’s a little insight on the types of projects I’ve been working on, both through my own company as well as having been employed by other companies and organizations for the last few decades.
  • My LinkedIn profile will give you more details and you can also find reference by others (superiors, colleagues, clients and partners).
  • Open to any interesting projects and gigs always! If my location (southern France) is of help, or even if it isn’t because it’s a mobile world we live in, ping me and let’s talk!
